Juma was born on June 12, 1997, at the Mwananyamala Hospital in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. He is the last born in his family.
Education
He attended Muhalitani Primary School, which is located in Tandale the Slam area of Dar es salaam. Later he joined Bunju A Secondary School. After his high school level, he joined Tanzania House of Talent to pursue his course in music.
Music Career
After Jay completed his studies, he was offered a recording contract by Epic Records label in Tanzania, owned by entertainment guru Ruge Mutahaba. He accepted the offer and began his career as a recording artist.
His first single was called ‘Goroka’. Before then, he had written another song ‘Kivuruge’ which he gave to Nandi and she produced it. The song became a hit in several countries.
