Early Life
Benson Mutua Muia was born on 4th March 1996 in Embu Town. His parents were both music lovers and this is what inspired him to join Music industry. His mother sang in a choir while his dad was a guitarist.
Ben had a tendency of playing instruments whenever he had a chance.
He was raised by his mother without his father’s assistance. He expressed this through his song ”Nikuchukie”.
Education
He attended school in his hometown. Later he enrolled in Technical University of Kenya for Civil Engineering course. He however quitted in his third year to pursue Music.
Music Career
He was exposed to music when he was young growing up in Embu town. He started playing guitar while in class six.
His passion for music, interest, quest for learning something new and interactions with music professionals who has been in the music industry for long has made his do better in music.
During an edition of street poetry in Nairobi, he met with Kenchez of H_art the Band. He requested him to use his quitar and it turned out that he liked how he played it, asked him to teach him a few thing and since then they have stayed as friends.
Later, he joined Sauti Academy which led him to be signed under Sol Generation label. He credits his success in music career to God.
In 2018, he performed on the same stage with reggae act Chronnix during the Kenyan leg of Chronology Tour. Chronnix recognized him because of his his amazing songwriting and singing skills.
During his free time, he teaches kids music at Shangilia children’s home in Kangemi.
Bensoul have been in the music Industry for 6 years now, we expect him to release more hits as time goes by.

Bensoul is not yet married. He lives a low key life and we are not yet aware of his other siblings.

He is currently dating his long time girlfriend Noni Gathoni.
It is said that he once cheated on her with Tiffany Muikamba and together they have a daughter.
